As far as The Stand goes, I had a bit of a hard time appreciating the TV mini-series version. I had built up a cast of characters in my head, and had trouble relating them to their representations on screen. RF just wasn't unnerving to me. Too much denim, too mullet-erific.
As far as the cigar part? I prefer my cigars with coffee.
