I guess either way, the watermelon was done-for! Attachment 331134
Deep penetrating, optimum expansion.
Ever since Scott turned me onto Liberty ammos civil defense round I haven’t looked any more, penetration expansion and fast, and at just over 70 grain instead of 230; makes for a nice light clip
Talking strange ammo, I recently got a pile of this cheap. Should be good for urban plinking?

Corrosive but fun round that’ll penetrate a few things.
:tu
Spray straw can of Ballistol takes care of that. People make too much of it. Just don't shoot and let sit for months!
.30 cal FMJ steel core will penetrate several abodes. This stuff will do anything up to a distance and resistance, being so light with the nylon core.
I bought a bunch of Czech with even lighter bullets.
They say it drops off after 75 yards. It sure has soft recoil, yet cycles the rifle. Super loud!
Surely the powder is down on them as well.
Couldn't decide whether this went here or the wordless picture thread...did both.Attachment 331171
That’s great medicine for some of these fricking clowns!:rofl2::gwh:
Couldn’t resist posting this:

Ya and this one in the back 40...

Fir squirrels n such.
Got this a couple days ago
I am a sucker for a good 1911.
Shoots well, and I don’t believe it needs any trigger work. Crisp pull, no slop, 4-5 pounds. First 50 rounds I was blowing a hole thru the target center mass
Outstanding!
Nice grip!
Like the right hand bias and the colour patterns pretty cool too.
:tu
Well, I have my new shotgun in ( https://www.benelliusa.com/shotguns/...tical-shotguns ) and have mixed feeling on it, however I haven't even shot it yet. All I have done is take it apart, clean, and lube it. The BenellI M4 is supposed to be one of the finest combat shotguns on the planet that doubles as a pretty descent hunting shotgun as well. My only complaint is the trigger, it's crisp...but hella heavy. I can correct that myself, but shouldn't have to on a $2k gun. Going to put a few boxes through it this weekend.
Did you get the pistol grip or stock grip Scott?
Nice looking weapon.
The Benellli's are supposed to be the Cat's meow. Betcha you will like it.
I wanted a MR1 rifle really bad. It has the same action as the Benelli shotguns.
Read where they are not importing them here any more so I flopped on a Beretta CX4 in 9mm.
Wot a HOOT! ;)
That is a nice shotgun Scott. My personal feeling is that it is way overpriced and way overrated. I looked at one of those ($$$$$) and the Tristar Raptor($$$). I bought the raptor. Looks almost like the Benelli M4. I will spend money on a weapon if it is worth it. I just couldn't come to the well on the Benelli. Good Luck and I hope it works out for you!

I've been after one of these, seems like forever.
Springfield XDE ~ .45 ~ 3.3 barrel
Single action / Double action ~ Hammer fired
Ambidextrous Thumb Safety ~ Also functions as a hammer de-cocker
They stopped making these last year and are a pretty rare find, especially new.
I'm pretty excited about this one, especially as a carry piece.
Pete <:-}
Outstanding Pete. How's the trigger break?
Obviously a very long pull for double action, but easily controllable.
Single action there is a wee bit of take-up till it hits the wall, then very crisp.
Pete <:-}
Has anyone else seen the Rare Breed trigger? This is a forced reset trigger that pushes your finger forward, and legally gives you the I'm your Huckleberry mode. And it's leagle, I waited too long and now I'm on the waiting list. You need a full auto carrier bolt and a stronger buffer tube, and then let the good times roll. Google them, really incredible.
Yes very nice, but, (sorry there's always a but)went to the range with a friend who has one, and out shot him in close quarters drills with my plain Ithica 37,with pistol grip. Now for a relatively cheap scatter gun I can put a slug pretty much where I want it.
Not gun specific exactly but I just did a job for a guy named Garand. When he gave me his name I asked him if he was related he said that John C. Garand was his great uncle.
I just thought that was cool for bragging rights.
New pistol followed me home from the local gun store!
My first CZ -- a CZ 75 P01 Omega!! Headed to the range!
Attachment 336584
Oh you will like that, Harold. Cat's meow, CZ! I suppose it has the de-cocker?
Just what I would like, finances permitting. :p
I did recently receive a pistol I also would not have afforded through an old friend's estate.
Colt Government .380 in stainless. Nice little fella! Proud to have it.
Attachment 336586
Going to use it some as a winter carry. Have bought a high-ride OWB holster and a pocket holster. A few other accessories.
Attachment 336587
This would be me if I could buy pistols over here :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

HAR!
Yes they are a bit over the top there, Mark. A whole brigade to dig out a few antiques.
Had to call in a specialist just to make them 'safe'!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KNOG0Xmfug
Once you see it you can't unsee it :)
I'll post a pic of mine, just for Mark....later.
Oh yeah! Pose it all up just like that! :rofl2:
Thanks Tom. I shot it for the first time today, and did very well. It does have the decocker, but also comes with the parts to convert it to a safety, supposedly with ease. I may eventually do that as I have carried a 3 inch 1911 for the last few years cocked and locked, but for the foreseeable future it will stay as a decocker. It shoots super sweet, even in double action. I afforded it by selling two safe queens and after the CZ still carried $550 home with me!
You'll love that Colt. Must be a really soft shooter in .380, and easy to carry!
First target--all ten yards 2 hands!
