You don't fool me Mark, I recognize your handwriting!

Treasure it, they don't appreciate you for long!
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Mark, I hope you do not mind me adding what I think is an honour to this thread.

My final year stats students sat their formal exam (for most of them, their last exam ever) a couple of weeks ago.

Their exam was at the same time and venue as my first year stats class of 300 students. Some of the final year students were tutors of the first years.

So, we are all outside the venue waiting to be called in, a sea of sweaty, semi-panicked, wild around the eyes students morbidly pondering their fate. The Invigilator calls the final year students to come to the front and enter the venue.

Pushing their way through the crowd, the final years come forward, and what do I see? 5 of the 8 are wearing bald-caps, have drawn a goatee on their faces, and a fake pi tattoo on their left wrists!! Everyone started laughing of course, and the students who were tutors for the first years are beet-red (they did not realise their exam was at the same place as their students...).

I took it as a tremendous honour (imitation is the greatest form of flattery, after all).

    James.

    That's not true.

We just have a really, really hard time showing it.
