What cigar did you smoke today?

Had a Room 101 Ltd Conjura Edition LTDC on the way into work this morning.

I've had a number of box presses in the past and I have to say I'm not really a huge fan of them, the ergonomics (me and my banana grabbers) is incredibly off putting.

This one had some burn issues that needed a few touch ups to correct, and the ash...to say it was flaky is a gross understatement. It looked like a volcano went off in my Jeep and deposited ash everywhere.

While it wasn't a horrible smoke, the negatives were just too much and ultimately I have to say I wasn't a fan of this one.

It won't be finding a home in my humis.

Ironically, this is a box press as well...wasn't really paying much attention at 0445hrs when I plucked it out of the humi.

Faintly sweet aromatic prelight aroma had me optimistic, very easy draw (re: too easy) however it wasn't anywhere near as flaky as the Room 101 Ltd Conjura Edition LTDC from yesterday. It didn't keep it's box press shape for very long after lighting it, whether that is due to loose filling or my not so delicate banana grabbers manhandling it I'm not sure. The first 1/3 of it was rather one dimensional with faint cedar/very mild spice tones...it didn't really come into it's own until the 1/2 way point; then it started to shine. Pleasant aromatic smoke with a definite sweetness, steady even burn, ash held but it wasn't exactly tight. Final 1/3 was a definite pleaser as it all came together.

Gurkha, IMHO, runs the gamut from excellent to disappointing; however I'm happy to say this one was definitely of the later. Still have 2 more of these that I'm happy to know aren't going to be a disappointment.

Limited edition, 10 yrs old now (means VR turns 25 this year :-)). Nice flavours, not a powerhouse in any way, but that's good news, since I only had a sallad for lunch :D

It's the biggest cigar I've had. I ordered a robusto, but got this monster instead. It was nice, but the draw was very light. I used a guillotine cutter and I think I ended up with too big an opening at the end on account of the massive ring guage. Maybe a punch would have been a better choice for a cigar this size. It tasted good, but I noticed the flavour didn't develop as much as the corona size I've had before. The ash was interesting. It held on into the last third and I only knocked it off when the cigar went out. I couldn't relight it so I sliced up the butt and added it to my cigar butt pipe blend, which is smelling pungent to say the least. I'm beginning to reconsider the cigar butt blend. It's not so much maturing in the jar as festering.

Yep - those be them, the people I love the most. I love going to the DQ and having ice cream with em after dinner. Something about it just makes me the proudest guy around lol.

Yep, theres somethin special about haulin around yer cutlets :)
