Sorry to get off topic. I didn't smoke a cigar but i would love some Skyline. Actually could you recommend a cigar that isn't too expensive?
Last night something that showed up on the market very recently. Partagas Serie D Limitada Edicion 2010. Sweet and rich. This is a keeper. I think it will age really well. It is 50x5.6 inches.

My buddy fired one of these up tonight at our weekly cigar event. I might spring for a box here soon. I have some PSD4's in the humi but they are too young right now - box code is NOV09. Will try em again at 1 year.
Tonight I had an Illusione ECCJ - damn what a great cigar!
San Cristobal de la Habana - Belicoso
mmmm...
Today was a 12 year old Cuban H.Upmann majestic. Fantastic afternoon smoke.
Trinidad after lunch and a Rocky Patel double maduro with about two years on it as I type, and a nip of single malt.
Iam having an Ashton Heritage torpedo on the deck after the cook out tomorrow
Any size Oliva Serie V is my current favorite.
With 40 Creek Whiskey.

I'm off to have a Padilla Obsidian (as CI calls it) or a Padilla Limitado Edicion Especial 2006 (as it says on the band).
Just got a box 20ct of Curchill Nicarao Honduras and shared one with my smokin buddy. Comes down to $2 a smoke. Tastes almost like chocolate.http://www.man-uppcigars.com/images/...3378_large.gif
A couple of Monte #2s gave their all tonight. Very good smoke.
Last night Ramon Allones Belicoso Regional Edition Germany 2010. Supposedly the tobacco blend for this German Regional Edition is made with specifications from the 1950's. Nice cigar.
I just wrapped up an Aurora 1495 as I continued my reading of The Count of Monte Cristo.
Opus X Double Corona aged about 1.5 years in the Humi, and a glass of Patron Anejo on the rocks.
Several Tatuajes died this weekend - T110, Nobles, Noella, and a Boris.
Also had a 2005 Camacho Liberty to celebrate the 4th. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Yesterday was a Romeo Y Julieta short Churchill Habanos and a CAO MX2 from 2008.
Today, Gran Habano #5 and a Rocky Patel old world reserve along with some Balvenie doublewood 12 year single malt.
Tonight will be a NUB by Oliva with some 40 Creek.

No cigar tonight, but tomorrow night I'll be smoking an Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Flor Fina.
12 year old RASS.........amazing...:)
Today on the drive home from work it was a Carlos Torano Casa Torano Maduro. One in a sampler pack of four Toranos. Pleasant.
I had one of these Ashton's a friend gave to me. They come individually wrapped with cedar paper. Have you noticed a difference with this before? Does it help keep them from drying out while in box?

Nice choice. Spanish cedar is the first choice for everything cigar related in terms of lining humidors to the individual cedar wrappers you speak of. It is first choice because of it's remarkable properties, it repels the (horror of all cigar lovers) the tobacco beetle and it is remarkably efficient at helping maintain humidity in humidors. It can absorb and add moisture as required in a properly balanced humidor. On individual cigars it imparts flavor (as it does in a humi) and it protects the wrapper of the cigar while being an attractive sales point.
* if you ever decide to build a humi or otherwise work with spanish cedar, use
protective masks when cutting or sanding, the dust can be very, very dangerous if
inhaled.
Only spanish cedar works with cigars other more popular cedar species won't do the trick and can ruin cigars. :)
It's been almost thirty years since I smoked a cigar. I used to enjoy a good Don Alvaro. They're no longer available as far as I know.
A Cuban Romeo Y Julieta Churchill (while in Hong Kong). It would be, of course, illegal to bring them back to the states.
<cough> <cough>
I smoked a ton of good stuff over the weekend. Having an all day bachelor party will make that happen! DPG Blue, Tatuajes, an Opus Power Ranger, An R&J Milles Fluer, and a CAO LX2 were the highlights. Also a very good Cain F; This is becoming a regular in my rotation...
Tonight after a good workout and dinner I had a 2009 Oliva V Maduro - so rich and tasty!
One of my buddies at the gym gave me one of these to me. Cutting the cap as I type this.

I enjoyed this little 09 Fuente Anejo :)
I didn't have to smoke one (cough, cough)... there are three forest fires within spitting-distance of Fairbanks, and the wind shifted a while ago. It's awful... my eyes, nose, and throat are burning, and I can't stop coughing!
(no; they're caused by summer lightning, not inconsiderate campers)
My neighbor came out and complained about my cigar smoke trailing into her house. They leave their windows and doors open at night I guess.
I let it go and let the cigar cool off.
had a tatiana mocha.. 5 vegas classic...gurka small batch s-2 last weekend
tonight i think ill have a rocky patel decade saturday a 5 vegas gold and sunday ill have a a gurka reserve
Yesterday at our weekly cigar event I had a Fuente Rosado and a Tatuaje Black tubo.
Yesterday it was a big honking Alec Bradley Max Vice, a big 6x60 monster and a Perdomo Habano Corojo torpedo. Today, a Trinidad earlier and working on a Romeo Y Julieta Habana Churchill along with some Ardmore cask single malt. I usually go through two a day, sometimes 3 on the weekends.
I didn't have one today. Yesturdays was a Fuente 858 Candela. Tasty.
