Jack knife plug in my new Molina tall rhodesian. Nicest looking pipe I've seen in the price range and smokes pretty well. I'll get a pic up soon. My first try of jack knife and I quite like it. Like a dark plug but with ketchup.

1st pipe in a week! Kajun Kake in an auto 4.
I've never tasted McClellands, but it certainly had a heinz ketchup taste and smell. The smell of it on the tobacco was stronger than the taste in the smoke. Maybe more like tomato soup, again I'm thinking heinz. Kind of a sourish savoury note, and not sour like when a pipe needs a good clean since this was only the third smoke in this pipe. It was much nicer than I've described.
does anyone here have any experience with Peterson tobaccos? I've got 4 here, in order of my preference: Gold, Connoisseur's Choice, Luxury Blend & Irish Oak. Given my lean towards light aromatics, do you guys have any suggestions for my next purchase?
The only one I've tried was Irish Flake. I loved the crumble cake presentation, and if I recall correctly, it was a stout smoke. It was an excellent grade of tobacco, but unfortunately not for me. I'm not an Aro's guy, and couldn't get past the blueberry topping. But it did smell good. If you are an Aro's guy, and looking for a quality, full bodied smoke, you will not be disappointed. Give it a whirl!
Tonight's smoke, more Kajun Kake in a Nording Freehand.
I'm also a fan of Peterson, though my preferences lean more on the stout side of things. You might like Irish Oak or Nutty Cut blends. For something a little more stout I'd think about university flake, its a medium flake with a very light Aero topping. I'm also a big fan of SG Navy Flake and GLP barbary coast (I let it dry quite a bit before smoking).
PPP and Irish Flake are the only peterson blends I've tried. Both very nice.
This morning's smoke was an experimental blend of my own in my cob. 50% perique and 25% each of perique and perique. Quite an experience.
