That picture makes one want to pick up the habit Dylan!!
Yeah, it does indeed, and I've never even smoked! I figure if I ever do though, it'll probably be with a pipe.
i was excited to see this thread.. pipe smoking is always something i wanted to get into.. i'm normally a clove smoker.. but since their ban in the u.s... i'm now at the point where i'm ready to pick up a pipe..
consider my useless post a bump..
can't wait to see some pics.

Savinelli made Tall Brandy black rusticated IRC and Savinelli black cavendish.
Yesterday it was the same pipe but I smoked Ashton's Artinsan's Blend.
Before that, it was the same pipe - let's say it is my night pipe - and I smoked MacBaren's black ambrosia.
This morning I smoked a very cheap but rather nice danish style Vuterfly tobacco (very fresh, very summerish) in my Big Ben pipe.
Being a full time pipe smoker it may be rather hard do describe every "pipe of the day"...
Join the smoking room! ;)
Tonight is my Jobey Dansk 2, JJJ lighter (very unreliable...), and a sample of some random blend the guy at the smoke shop gave me today when I stopped in. I'm supposed to report back on how I like it.
Tonight it would be a half dozen or so of one or another of these Dylan. :) I've got another couple of dozen at work to keep my nicotine level constant when I'm at the shop.

I'm not a massive smoker, I have the odd cigar now and then as I find it relaxing, I was recently talking to a guy in work who suggested I try a pipe in place of my odd cigar, I'm seriously considering it, and thinking maybe starting out with a ten minute pipe.

Those are some very nice-looking pipes gentlemen.
Your photos have inspired me to dig some of mine out and post pics of them in the near future.
great idea. We are interested to see more stuff.
Today I enjoyed my first pipe and my first pipe tobacco - a Chacom and Gentleman's Blend - and another vintage Colibri.

This evening I'm smoking Cornell and Diehl Old Joe Krantz in an Edwards Burl Cut. No camera to shoot the pretty stuff but I do happen to have a picture of the pipe.
http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/v...GI/BurlCut.jpg
IMHO, Old Joe Krantz is the best damn pipe tobacco available today. this is a good modern version of the classic American burlies of old (i.e. Prince Albert, Five Brothers, Revelation, etc.) It's spicy, cigary and just a couple inches shy of harsh in delivery but man alive what a smoke! I've seen none better in 34 years of pipe smoking.
