And for the record....God love the Icelandic people. Cause there really is some wonderful Scandinavian foodstuffs out there. Kudos !:beer1:
As a Finn and thus someone who's living in a country next to Russia and after having countless wars with them, against Novgorod, Russia and Soviet and even against Carelians in the medieval times. If i had a change to ask uncle Josif Stalin only one question that would definitely be this: why the hell you are producing vodka tasted with cinnamon & garlic. Or i wouldn't even ask, i would accuse him for crimes against anything beutiful and reasonable there is in the world.
Have to say also this. I rather happily fall under pressure than taste it ever again. Or those fishes produced by those crooked Swedes & Icelanders. And although we've been a part of Sweden for almost 800 years and we have lot to thank them, flutefisk is not surely one of those things.
Let's think happy warm thoughts of Lingon berries and mashed potatoes with sourcream and dill with fried Reindeer steaks and mushrooms, rye bread with lots of good butter and malt ale finished off with a nice pipe....ahhhhh feeling better already .!:beer1:
I'm with Sailor on this one. Lived in Iceland for two and a half years and uh...yeah...no thanks to all of it. No doubt there is some good Scandinavian cuisine but I can assure you that absolutely NONE of it comes from Iceland.
Jon and Santomour......you guys would really like this Gawiths Navy flake. Worth trying.I wouldn't steer ya wrong on this. But if your wives are not keen then it's porch or garage den worthy.:)
Actually. It was one of the first flakes i tried ever . And probably the only lat blend that i truly craved. Great stuff. And the Mrs liked the smell . Both in the tin and the roon note. :) man all this talk of food and navy flake is making me hungry and wanting to put in another tobacco order
