Oh man, that's terrible news. ZZTop's Afterburner Tour was the first real concert I ever went to back in I think '84. Mind-blowing stuff for a 13-year-old. They are one of those bands whose music I enjoyed more and more as I dug back into their earlier stuff.
I think I'll be listening to a ZZTop bender out in the shop tonight.

You won't be the only one on a ZZtop bender--------
I remember watching an interview with Billy and he told about how early on they opened or such for BB King and Billy and BB were talking and BB commented on the heavy strings that Billy were using and asked him 'Why you working so hard"? Billy said that he thought that's the way you were supposed to get your sound and BB told him that he used such and such strings and Billy went out and bought some and said he'd never go back.

Man...that is sad, sad news
Rest in peace Dusty

Weird Al performed many years ago about 60 miles from Walla Walla. I was working out of town but I got tickets for the kids and wife. We'd seen many bands and artists who had played at a very high volume, however the then wife said that it was the loudest concert she'd been too.
She said that the costume changes only too about a minute and that they would show a video that the person speaking was change so that it was completely different than was originally spoken..
When he went out into the audience he had the same body guard and my son reached out actually touched Weird Al. I guess that's his claim to fame.
Anyway the wife said that this was pretty much the same show as she and the kids watch.
I hope all will enjoy.

Sorry to hear of Dusty Hill's passing. Big fan of the Top since "La Grange" days. Got to see them when Degüello came out, in a steamy Chicago theater of sorts, the Aragon Brawlroom as it was called back in the day.

I watched an interview Dan Rather did with Meat Loaf and was surprised to find that Meat's true love is acting. He's been in 61 movies. Anyway this came to mind.
Since my second wife was ten years my junior she hadn't heard Paradise By The Dashboard Light. I played it for her and she was really into it-----until the ending and then she hated the song! hehehe
I hope all will enjoy.
