    Default Any model Railroaders?

Just another hobby full of AD's. I have been dabbling in the hobby for 10 years. I have Atlas, lionel O guage 3 rail layout that keeps changing. I enjoy making the landscaping, rock, mountains, lakes and streams. The system i have is TMCC by lionel which is a wireless remote control,so i can activate switches, gantry crane, smoke units and a list to long to mention from anywhere in the house. They even have software so that you can have your layout on the computer and run everthing from the pc.I also have a system that allows you to make a recording of every move you make on the layout, and when your done making your recording, you just hit one button and everything is all automatic! The wiring end of this stuff is also pretty neat. Its a good winter time hobby when iam not ice fishing, sking,or checking my trap line.

Used to do that. Built and ran HO locomotives and roling stock when I was young. In graduate school I started building in N scale. Even got a replica of the PRR's famous Horseshoe curve built when I moved to my first house in Indianapolis. Since moving to my second abode, however, I haven't touched it.

Yes sir. We have 3 rail O gauge. Mostly MTH, but also some vintage lionel. Used to have a layout a few years back, but since moving we haven't put up a layout except for at Christmas time under the tree. I need to unbox some of our train stuff and put up a layout. I do enjoy the wiring aspect of it. Lot's of fun in the winter time and I just love to watch the trains run. I also love to chase real live steam locomotives when we get a chance. Can't beat the sound of those babies!

gp 38, gp 38-2, gp-40, sd70, es44...I think that's it. Mostly conventionally run, but coal trains are DP (two locomotives on each end of 135 coal cars at 19,500 tons). I have a few on my phone, but will have to check my computer. I'm an engineer for Kiamichi RR that is based out of Hugo, OK. Our parent company is RailAmerica out of FL.

    Nessmuck,

Can't say that I have. That was too small even for me.

BTW...I still have a few N scale PRR boxcars in their original boxes. If I find the time, I'll take a photo of them and post it.

When I was a kid we had a whole room in our house dedicated to our HO scale trains. We had an elevated plywood table (covered in fake grass, streams, and mountains of course) in the center of the room, which mostly filled it. There was about a two foot walkway around the table. The rest was trains.

I haven't touched one in probably 15 years or more.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Same here! It was at my grandpa's house, right around the corner from here I grew up. When we (three boys) were old enough, we'd be allowed to touch one thing, then another, slowly until he thought we were mature enough to handle the whole set. We weren't alwys, though, and the first time in my life I remember feeling ashamed of my behavior was when I broke the rules with those trains. It's been right around 28 years since I touched them, and I can still feel the grass, smell the oil...
There is an O set up at a Nursery/Garden center about a mile from my house. My daughter likes to watch the trains with me, and I love watching with her.
