okay, so I looked at some fountain pens, holy shit! talk about pricey. I love writing and would choose it over typing any day. Anyone know of some cheaper starter pens?
Look at
Noodler's Ink and pick one out.
Amazon carries them but they are a little more expensive there than Noodler's lists them. Someone just pointed me there and I do like the pen. They run around $20.
There is a dealer's list on Noodlers.
If you can find them, Shaeffer Javelin. I have 2 that I use, they stopped making them (I think). They retailed for 25 US, but I found some on clearance for 50% off (which is why I got 2). There are also some disposables made. I liked them before I got the Javelins. the disposables were pretty passable pens. I liked them, good for starting and if you ruin it, you don't have to worry about itQuote:

The Noodler Ahab has a pump. It uses bottled ink.

I decided to go with the lamy studio...it was pricey yes, but as far as I can tell...it will fulfill all my needs and then some :)
I'm planning on getting converters for mine whenever I run out of cartridges (maybe, the cartridges are handy in school)
One ice these days I'm gonna get a good fountain pen....who know when though
