The boy who taught me how to use a straight.
I'm not quite sure if this will fit here, although if family is not one of the finer things in life, I don't know what is.
The young boy all the way to the right, standing in front of the man with the majestic mustache, grew up to teach me many things, among them how to use a straight razor. He's my grandfather.
This picture was taken in Buenos Aires, Argentina, ca. 1901.

Yep, strange. I put it in an album here and linked from there.
I'm at a loss... it's a shame, cuz great-grandpa had an epic stache!
For the full story check out my intro posting in the noob section.Last edited by Snake; 03-13-2011 at 05:25 AM. Reason: Well... thought some may want to read my intro. I worked hard on that.

Thanked: 7I see the picture now. Wonderful family shot and great story.
I have to agree about the moustache. If I weren't active duty miltary I would have one EXACTLY like that one. It's just glorious. (Please don't think I'm joking about any of this. I do love that moustache.

Great story and picture, thanks for sharing!
Gotta love how nobody is smiling in old pictures, it makes people look so depressed.
