We've gotten into watching channel 33.2 a WB station called Antenna TV. All the oldies on there, Stooges, Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, My Favorite Martian, Hazel, The Monkeys, Dennis The Menace, and the list goes on and on. All the old Westerns to. And channel 33.3 is pretty much all old B-rate movies, some pretty good stuff, right ?

I wish somebody would invent a fob for a cellphone then. I keep forgetting I've got one and I keep losing the darn thing. It makes my kids laugh that much harder when I have to get on the landline and call myself just so I can find my phone.
I first got the feeling I might not be a spring chicken anymore years ago when the "devil music" I listened to as a teenager had gotten relegated to the elevator music/bargain bin forgotten in the back of most music stores. Today the stuff that bugged my parents is about as threatening as a yawning kitten.
Nowadays it's hard just to find a music store. My kids think that's amazing too.

Thanked: 198i get a feeling of retrobution when i see my 15 year old daughter beginning to like music that i fell in love with back in the early 80's the only problem was the bands came out of the late 60's, so does that make me old, or her wiser, hmm something to think about there. Lori, dont feel to old, my 14 yo daughter just fell in love the the tv show Quincy, that is what i would consider the grandfather to all the CSI's so what goes around comes around.

Hahahaha! I love Quincy! Your daughter has good taste. I have a friend that is a real forensic investigator. She likes the shows but thinks of them more as science fiction because it's not as easy as they make it look. Some of the gizmos they use don't even exist. Quincy is probably closer to the reality. Less hocus pocus and more thought.
I don't really feel all that bad about my age but it does get annoying at times. I've already warned my oldest son that he is not auctioning me off on Ebay as an antique. My patina isn't good, not all of my parts are original and my provenance is questionable.

Nowadays they say that 60 is the "new" 40. I think $100.00 is the new ten bucks. Seems like it goes as far as ten bucks used to. But then I'm 62, which ain't old ..... if you're a tree.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I tell my 2 sons that when i was a kid we had to get off the couch to change the channel on the tv, and point the rabbit ears in the right direction, and we only had 4 stations!!! And when i got my license in '72,we would put 2 bucks in the gas tank and drive all over the place.Ahh the good old days, i quess were turning into grumpy old men,but i still refuse to act my age, just ask my wife!!

It was not long ago my friends and I worried about having enough gas and beer money. Now we sit around and discuss doctors, prescription drugs and probing medical tests
Oh and I somehow managed to get on AARPs mailing list wanting me to join. Obviously some kind of mistake. I sure don't feel old.
