As both a volunteer fireman and a gun nut, I can assure you there's really nothing to worry about with ammo. If it gets hot enough (a very big if), it may go off, but will not have enough velocity to do any harm. A cartridge will not contain enough pressure for the bullet to reach a velocity that would be harmful.
Although I love the good guys, (ie police and firemen) I want my guns and ammo for immediate use, to defend what's left of my house from the piranha like looters and other socio-parasite jackles who'd feel welcome to rummage through other's misfortune.Quote:

Two metric what? Metres, Kilometres? I've covered about 10 000kms on my 'deadly treadly' since I bought it. That's only averaging about 1600kms a year. Not much.

Assuming I can stuff everything safely into a big bag I would take all my shaving stuff (razors, hones, soaps, strops, scuttles and anything else shaving related), all my religious medallions, and my sourdough starter.

Thanks mate. Most I've done, round trip, is 50km in recent years. Once upon a time...20 years ago I did a damn sight more and a 'metric' would have been a fairly common occurrence.

One of my hall mates freshman year had a hedgehog. The guy's roommate was Indian, and couldn't quite pronounce "hedgehog," but he loved to invite people back to the room to see his... well, I guess I shouldn't post that. He also liked to say "Dood, give me the (hedgehog)."
My Pelican case full of razors. Maybe my laptop. Everything else is pretty inconsequential!
