After I stood in line for two days I was hungry!
I'm a big fan of the Seiko Line of Watches. Here are a few pictures of my Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver Titanium.

It's too bad most watch folks are totally ignorant about Seiko's history and the quality of the watches they make. Most are brainwashed into thinking if a watch doesn't have a Swiss name it worthless. I guess it's similar to people who think only the Germans can make good cars.

while this price might not be entirely accurate (as stated on the page), the 37mm simplicity platinum is $64,000 Swiss Francs.
per https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sour...xchange%20rate
1 CHF = 1.34 AUD, therefore 64,000 CHF = 85,759.59 AUD, so yes i probably wouldnt get one for 85,000 AUD, I would need to throw in almost a thousand more.
edit: sorry, i just read that that the watch is no longer in production so one would need to be purchased from a collector.
My point wasn't the exchange on CHF to AUD. The article was written 10 years ago, I believe the price may have as much as doubled and the waiting list may exceed his planned production numbers.
In the watch world it is held in the very highest regard. I have held one in my hand and while it is exquisite, the watch is a little too small for my personal taste.
Cheers,

Bulova Accutron
I wish I could find a source for repair. Anyone know of such a repair person/shop?

jmercer: A classic Bulova Accutron that set the standard for time keeping in the sixties. I remember those commercials well as an adolescent child. For repair, I would ask the question on one of the watch forums.
