great food!!!! Bring it next time.
I haven't found it to have any change to accuracy on my long guns. The hand guns showed no change either.
If anything I have found that most weapon's benefit from the good cleaning and tightening of hardware.

I've been debating if I want to get my Ar-15 coated after the finish took a good knock in a move. I think the Mosin Nagant M44 would be my test rifle though to make sure I like it. Unfortunately I no longer work with a guy who would do it at cost of supplies.
To Cerakote or Duracoat...that is the question.
I have been interested int these coatings, just don't know which would be the best & most durable.
From what I have found, Duracoat is the child of Cerakote. It's much easier to apply, has better durability, and more colors available.
The water dip that I have seen while having more variability in patterns and using actual "realtree" camo pattern, is no where near as durable. The shop is almost done being set up and hoping to start shooting after this coming weekend Houston meet up. Want to get the 1911 done before 6th cause going on a much needed hog/turkey hunt.
If you ever consider doing this on the side, please PM me. The finish on the frame of my Kimber Ultra CDP II is no better than Krylon...
The best finish I have ever used for firearms is Brownell's GunKote which if Im not mistake is made by KG Industries. I've had multiple guns coated in that stuff and it seemed really solid. It worked great on metals and polymers. Plus the stuff was ridiculously easy to apply, although it was hell on my airbrush. For the price I preferred it to Cerakoat, although I've never really used Duracoat before.
Ive actually got to refinish the slide and several small parts on my P95 because I dont like the tri-tone finish on it. Brownells has some stuff in an aerosol can that bakes on I've been debating on trying. Who knows though.
Just finished coating a bunch of fixed blades, machete's, and battle axe's. I'll get pics up this weekend. just too busy to get them put back together until then with the real job. Hopefully this weekend doing a two tone kimber for a client..
