Looks like a good rough out, now it needs the detail work. Is the pin hole big enough? Get all the grind marks out and finished to at least 400 grit. That grind line where the hollow meets the spine is normally a straight line. I have a radiator hose that I fit a dowel rod into tightly to help with this type of hand work. Might smooth out the tang/tail a bit. Just some thoughts anyways
Yes indeed. Now for detail work. 400 grit it is. I have tried to make that line straight. Need a jig on my grinder. Most of this was free hand
By the way. I just marked the pin hole. I still need to drill it out. What size hole? 1/32?
Typical pins are 1/16"
Ok thanks very much
So I am in the process of sanding out grind marks on this razor. Meanwhile started another one. Take a look.
Attachment 155076 I must say. This is a fun process
It is very interesting.
