Looks nice man.
Thanks. I appreciate that
ok, my 3 straights are back from heat treat . ready to grind . issue . I have a sears wet dry grinder that i could use that was recomended by a friend but it seems it will take forever to get the blade as thin as i think it needs to be . and i also have a 4 by 36 inch belt grinder . nothing fancy . harbor freight deal. you get the picture. so , do i use the sears wet dry grinder and be patient ? or get a 400 grit and 800 grit belt for the 4 by 36 and keep a bucket of water close. grind with no gloves on and make sure the blade does not heat up to much ? comments welcome. i need it since this is all new to me . thanks,
I have one cheap belt grinder. Rpms not sure. Pretty high I am sure
You put a blade to a fast running high grit belt, and the chances are the heat builds up so fast the temper is ruined before you can reach the water bucket. A slow running water stone is also not a very good option because it will be very slow.
