Do you wnt a scientific explanation for that phenomenon ? or will we leave it at that:)
First pattern after HT is due to diffrences in decarburization...second pattern after etchig is due to diffrences in corosion resistance.
You make realy nice blades BTW:D

Please include the relationship between decarburization and carbon resistance as related to light scattering and of course the corresponding chemistry involved in the processes.
