Thanked: 203one of those aaarrrggh moments
Re-Learned another lesson recently- when you get tired or impatient, get out of the workshop. i had put in something over three hours into this custom razor for a feller with hands that are so large and thick fingered that he could not get a safe and comfortable grip on a standard razor, so this one with an elongated tang resulted after a few templates in MDF for him to try. It is CPMS30V. i had cut it out, profiled, file worked jimping, etc over several days. i rarely get more than 20-30 minutes at a time in the workshop. This particular day was the only day in 2010 where i got a whole day in there, so i was grinding four razors. This was the last for the day, and i stuffed it. Combination of grinding a little too thin and letting it get just a little too hot in my hands. Dunked it in the bucket to cool it and felt it kick.
Picture says the rest.
Respectfully,
Adam.
