my DE saftey razors are disappearing on me ...lol

well awhile back i posted about tips for my 11yr old daughter to help me introduce her into wet shaving... well i went with a Gillette travel tech cause i figured small hands the handle would feel a bit better .. well she turned 12 couple weeks ago and i gave it to her and she had been bugging me since to show her how to use it but her mom said she would .. well my daughter never asked her so this morning on the front porch her mother and i busted out a tub of hot water , some shave soap , a brush , and after a bit of instruction and a bit of fear by her mother and her a small spot was done .... later this evening she had showered , made her own lather and had further instruction by mom she completed her first wet shave and first shave of her short life ...

i was surprised to hear her mom tell her that this is a razor that she must always keep and pass down to her daughter some day , and that felt good cause i was gonna say that but also because its something that can be past on for a long time .. my dad tells me all the time how many of those Gillette razors he has thrown out over the years and i know i wish i had one of them but as far as wet shaving goes the tradition will be for me to start and pass on in this modern age ..

now the disappearing part .. tonight my x and daughter came over , and wouldnt you know it , im down a Thater 4411 badger brush , 2 packs of Feathers , a jar of Bald Frog cucumber melon soap , another Gillette travel Tech , and a Gillette Super Speed !!!!! so now the x is into the wet shaving & both my boys wantthere razors i already have for them ...lol.. GGGEEEZZZ if i was still married i couldnt imagine what our ebay/mail order bills would be ...lol

srry bout the long read but i just thought id share a tid bit of how much fun this can really be for everyone !!
