Thanked: 0But Why?????
Don't know if this has been answered somewhere else before but I have to ask...............................
Shave with a Mach 3 and it get a smooth as glass finish which lasts 3 hrs max. and I need to shave the next day...
Shave with a DE or a Str8 (granted the Str8 experience is limited to 5 shaves) and my face feels as rough as a badgers s***box but I don't need to shave for 2 whole days?
Why?

I'm the opposite. I hair up more quickly with the str8.

Bradford, I don't think you're giving your skina chance to get used to the agressive depiling nature of the straight. It takes about two weeks of steady straight razor use (say every othe rday) for your face to properly adjust to the shaving style. Then again you and Agamamnon may both be having technique and/or sharpness issues.

Great, now your going to scare people away. There going to think if you use a straight your going to turn into a Gorilla.
Actually if I shave with an electric razor my face feels as smooth as glass also but unfortunately that feeling doesn't last very long as opposed to a straight shave. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
