Exclamation What makes us LOVE steel so much ?!

    Hi
I kind of new to str8 shaving, but I always love STEEL !!!
    I mean
Knifes, blades, axes and so on
    So
I think that since I was a little boy, I allways fascinated by making sharp things from steel

I have a nice collection of Folding knives (love these little things)

My quesion is, are you like me? and why do we (most of us here) love sharp steel so much?

EAD -- I'll go a little further and say that I like working with steel ---welding, cutting, burning, constructing ---- I like things made of steel from furniture to the skeletal framework of commercial buildings and ships. I don't know why --- steel is simple and pure of form, masculine yet sleek and stylish, and mystical in some sense. It's also almost alien really --- it doesn't have that warmth and natural appeal that you get with wood but it has something else that is hard to put a finger on --- anyway maybe steel is just cool.

"Steel isn't strong, boy. FLESH is stronger.... What is a sword compared to the hand that wields it?"

    God, I'm such a geek.

I see it about once a year. My favorite part is the prayer to Crom at the start of the Battle of the Mounds scene.
