Dear Lynn Abrams
I have begun watching your World of Straight Razor Shaving dvd and wondered what, if any, of your opinions have changed dramatically since you made this awesome video. For example is the Coti still your favorite finisher? Things like that. I have not completed the dvd yet, but was very curious. Sorry if anyone has posed this question in a prior thread but I think it would be really interesting! Thanks for making this DVD, along with other great videos and all your other contributions to the razor world.
Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!

Thanked: 4942Thanks!
When I made that video, there really wasn't much else out there like today. I still keep learning and trying new things all the time. What I really like is that all the information on that DVD is still pretty pertinent today. After the Coti, my favorite finishing stone was the Escher for a while. Now it's a Suehiro 20K. I don't use the Pyramid as much as the circles these days either. I keep looking for ways to make honing a little better and more consistent and probably will be forever playing with different hones and methods.
Any other questions welcome.
We keep toying with the idea of an update for the DVD, but I am looking for a better Actor.
Happy Holidays!

Hey Lynn, I've been really enjoying my first month with the DVD as well.... I had learned a lot from youtube videos by you, glen and others but I still have to say watching the DVD is a total treat.... I'm not watching it straight either.... gotta space it out, like a scotch at the end of the day... just a little at a time so I can take it all in. Nice collection by the way

Thanked: 1185This guy is pretty good and he has an assistant. The price of the DVD might have to go up some though :<0|
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

You kidding me with that weak lather; can save the world, but can work up peaky MWF. Where is Sean Connery when you need him?
I think it would be awesome to see the remake, but you are right about there being a lot of timeless information in the first edition. I wish I had watched this earlier in my wet shaving career and saved myself some heartache. I keep seeing wonderful things about that 20k, but man that price tag is a killer to me.Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!
