A good Invicta is also a good thing but I've seen more warped spines on them than Bengalls.

Awesome posts yall..... Keep em coming...... Show them razors off if ya have em! I know others would love to see em. The older Sheffields I have. are so much heftier/heavier compered to razors made at a later date.
I wasn't really chasing Sheffield when I got my sole British razor. I just needed a second blade and stumbled across a clean-looking John Williams 5/8 for $75. Had it sent to Obie for honing and it shaves quite well.

Very nice SR...... Sometimes it seems we all find something great by accident most of the time.I hope it gives you many great shaves down the road too!
Favotie Sheffield razor?
I feel like a moron now..... Major typo in the posts title..... Favorite..... I gotta pay more attention to detail..... (sigh)
Hope my wife doesn't see this........ I'll never live that down.
The Favotie is actually the rarest of the Sheffield razors, never seen one. [emoji1]
Like a lot the guys here I have a few Sheffield's. Wade and Butcher, Joseph Allen, Fredrick Reynolds, Bengals, Wostenholm and I like them all. As long as it is sharp and I like anything but the extreme hollow ground. I really don't like a lot of feed back. and the heavier blades forgive my inexperience.
