Default What do you travel with?

I'm talking razors when flying? If I go away for any length of time, then a couple of straights and a small strop come with me. They have to go inside my luggage to be checked in. But what about just travelling with a carry on bag? I can't carry a straight onto the plane, so I think I'm going to have to get a DE. Anyone else do this?

if I am only travelling with a carry on bag then I shave before I go then when I get back
    No problems
I do have an heirloom DE I use on special occasions, that if a needed to I could take but it is not a traveler normally
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

I like to take a bikini model but that whole x-ray scan your carry-on just gives me away

Only problem with a carry on is DE blades get confiscated if they catch it, if I fly and don't check a bag I just mail my blades to the hotel I,m staying at. That is one way or the only other way us check the bag, nowadays most of my travel is by motorcycle so it's not an issue anymore. Tc

Based on the most recent TSA report on the news about undercover agents getting past check points with weapons and fake explosives, you should be fine with a simple DE I think.

In reality though, you could always just purchase blades once you arrive at your destination.

I go real basic when I travel. A Gillette fat tech, Astra blades, Tube of Musgo or Proraso, and a basic omega boar.

I did say if they catch them , they don't always . But they have caught mine so I stopped playing roulette with them , and buying when you get there is a crap shoot also, I've not found feather blades in any drug store I've ever stopped at, if your going to be anywhere for a few days it doesn't cost more than a stamp to mail it, now if there is a member in that town your going to I bet you could make arrangements that way too. I usually pack something like this if I'm gone for a week.
    I know, I know...
But let me tell you, I really enjoy my first shave at home.

I pack a stropped razor that I'm not overly worried about losing should that happen. Then I pack a stick of arko, Captains Lime aftershave, a brush, and a small vial of Ems balm. If I think I will need to shave twice, I take a second razor. The last time I was in New Orleans I had the shakes so bad I thought I was going to take my head clear off.
