Geo Wostenholm knife?
Not sure if this goes here or where it would or should go. Does anyone have any info on the Geo. Wostenholm IXL knifes? I've got one that's marked "IXL Geroge Wostenholm Sheffeild England" on the tang and "oil the joints" on the reverse side of the tang. What appears to be a white paint spot on one blade is just light reflection, blades are pristine, not shiney, but not rusty either. Would like to find some information on these.

Thanks for the tip! I just registered and posted over there. It's such an odd looking knife, that I would like to know how old it really is.

Thanked: 0That forum is a pretty good place for just that sort of ID request. Bladeforums is how I found this place. GL with your quest.

Already have several replies. Seems like it was made in the 70's (1970s). Made to appear as if old. It is too large for me to want to carry lol, but would make a good civil war re-enactors knife.

Thanked: 0It does look like an awufly large knife for an every day carry aka EDC type thing. Sure looked a good deal older than 70's.
