Thanked: 19Wet Shave Travel Issue
One thing that I find to be a drag is not being able to carry on my straights or my double edge razor blades. I try not to check my bags if I can avoid it, and don't want to check a bag just to carry a razor blade. I wasn't thinking a couple trips ago and had my double edge razor blades confiscated by TSA. At least it was on the way back - they missed them on the way out. I just wasn't thinking.

Thanked: 636Try contacting TSA and ask if a shavette would be allowed. Let them know size of blade. Man they allow small scissors why not a small razor blade. Even working in a jail I was allowed a 2 inch blade knife.

A shavette is not going to cut it. Anything with a removable blade is not going to pass. The OP was fortunate they didn't catched it on the way out. The only way is check-in luggage which I do if I'm going away for a few weeks.
I don't bring my nice stuff, nice enough, but not enough to miss it.

The only other option is to mail the sharp stuff to the hotel/house you are staying at. Another possibility is to travel with no blades and pick some up at a local drug store. The only ones I have found were Wilkinson blades, but I've never tried them...

When I went to Germany, the grocery store carried Wilkinson's as well as a brush from them.
