    Default Injury from razor

I have a scar on my forehead, which is about an inch long. When I was about five years old, I was playing with a razor when no one was near. I ended up cutting my forehead. The cut was not stitched and was not treated properly. I still have that scar on my forehead, even after twenty years. I am thinking about a scar removal surgery from a cosmetic surgeon in Toronto. When will I be able to see the result? Are scar revision results permanent? Has anybody over here had injuries while handling a razor?

You would want to talk to a doctor for that, we are a forum dedicated to shaving, cuts occur yes but we are not really going to be able to help you much. Tc

I was going to say I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but......

This is the best advice, well said!

You need to consult a plastic surgeon. Scars can usually be ameliorated to some extent.

When I was about 4 years old I got hold of my dad's injector razor cartridge refill and sliced one of my fingers pretty good. I still have the scar and it taught me a valuable lesson.

At this point in my life I doubt I'm going to get any big modeling contracts, so I have never considered getting any of my scars removed. Talking with your doctor and then consulting a plastic surgeon sounds like a sensible route to take if you do want to have scars removed.

Really this is something I don't understand unless your disfigured so bad you need a mask. If I got all my scars taken away I might fall apart,, guys got scars and your not in a circus as a freak , unless you are. Then maybe. Tc

Unless they are disfiguring, scars are like tattoo's and they tell a story. I don't worry about any of mine

Indeed. My wife got a nasty one on her forehead from an ATV accident. Today you can't see it. The P.S. did a great job.

This was exactly what I was thinking. I have several scars and my children ask about them all the time, it's a tale of warning just like my stupid tattoo.
