Music when you shave?

Do any of you like music when you shave? I'm particularly fond of listening to classical, as it calms me down and really gets me in the right mood. I'm trying to put together a list of shaving songs for myself. At the top of my list is a song called "Por Una Cabeza" by Carlos Gardel. If you've ever seen Schindler's List, it's the song that plays when he's getting ready and going to the party in the opening scene. It's one of my favorite movies, with the exception that it shows the entirely wrong way to use a straight

I prefer jazz most frequently, but I've always had a love for acoustic folk music of many kinds so that figures prominently as well. Too often though, I shave in silence.

I frequently hum a tune as I shave - I get music and simulate the gillette "vibrating blade" effect at the same time!

Well... my speakers aren't exactly portable so having them in the bathroom is slightly inconvenient. I might have to buy some speakers for my mp3 player, or make them...

I always found it real classy to listen to certain classical songs while shaving. Right now I listen to the songs in my head. I can't really give a list of songs I listen to. I know the songs, but not the titles and composers on most of them. I know there's some Bach, Chopin, and Mozart in there.

I have Por Una Cabeza. It's not in my head, so I don't recollect what it sounds like...

Man, I must be really boring. I listen to BBC Radio 4 when I shave. It's what my old fashioned radio is tuned into (no presets, not digital, it even has a cassette player built into it!). It's usually a news or current affairs discussion on.

I like the idea of classical. Will have to try that one day.

No way! Radio 4 is fantastic When we lived over there we couldn't come at paying for a tv licence so we just tuned into radio 4. In my opinion the best radio station on the planet, bar none.

It's still one of the things my wife and I always bring up as what we miss about the UK.

Hey, if you've got to listen to talk, Radio 4 is the way to go! I love listening to the BBC.

My bathroom I shave in is an ensuite so I have my door open and then the music is pumping into the bathroom. There is always something different on my computer which is played while I shave. I do enjoy Jazz, Classic, Rock, Alternative, Hip Hop...

Some that I like playing would be Miles Davis, Jamie Cullum, Bach, Mozart, to Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins (the new album)....

You know you can get most of the BBC stations on internet radio now James? Time difference means it's probably not worth listening to live, but you can catch up on any past programme at your leisure.

I have this theory that one shuns Radio 4 until you reach a certain stage in life. I'm not saying whether that's correlated with age though!

You're probably right about the stage of life thing. I used to really enjoy the Moral Maze, for example, but you try to describe what it is over here and people look at you funny! And radio 4 has some of the funniest commedy programmes I've ever heard in my life - cerebral stuff, you know, like Mornington Crescent.
