Thanked: 3Catching a Falling Knife
So yesterday I encountered my first accident. I was in a rush since I was getting ready to head back to the university. I was actually able to get my shave done in 15 minutes, which was quite impressive. As I was flipping my razor though, it slipped out of my hand. I've got relatively quick reflexes, so the very moment it started falling, my left had goes to grab it and it grabs the blade. Then again, due to my fast reflexes, the instant I touch the blade, I let go again. Then again due to the fast reflexes, the other hand goes in to catch it again, except it got it at the scale, so it was fine. This all took like two seconds. After the whole ordeal, I noticed what happened and looked at my left hand. Got a small cut on my thumb and middle finger. Both soft of resemble a papercut. The one on the middle finger just looks like a really, really bad papercut...

...ahhhh, to be young again with the lightning fast reflexes of youth... these days, I'm back in my office, sitting at the computer when I remember
'Oh, yeah!....I dropped my razor!'
..it does save on the cuts, though!

Wow! i only wish my reflexes were as those of Lou and Rich... I usually notice i drop one when my bare foot finds it the just before bed.. no cuts to the fingers... murder on the piggies
Be just and fear not.

Yup learned at a young age not to try catching a falling knife (same result you got by the way...) now I just watch in horror as the knife falls slow motion to the floor, with a small jump back to save the piggies!!!
Glad you didn't get a serious slice.

I did not breath during that post. I was totally there when you brought the other hand up to catch it again. Hard instinct to suppress
Whew!
