I've used a Brillo pad and bleach, to dry it up.
Bust the blusters open, wipe with bleach.!
BTW....A small piece of wood between your teeth may be needed, for some folks.

I don’t recall ever having contact with poison ivy, poison oak yes. It nearly drove me crazy with the itching. The neighbour said rub it with coarse salt until it bleeds and pour white vinegar over it. It was very effective. I have to say the intense sting was a pleasant relief to the itching.
