Zeepk
Could one learn to hone...or practice honing with these razors. Considering you can get 8 for 30 bucks on ebay.seems like something you can trash. Wanted to get some opinions on that.

I don't own one myself, but I'm sure I saw someone write that it would be a good letter opener!
(What? what?!? If I hadn't written it I bet Lou would've! OK, I'm bad, but I'm laughing. )

If I understand correctly that it exactly why you cannot shave with them. The steel is too soft to sharpen to shave-ready state.

The real test of honing is getting between just under shave ready to shave ready. You can't get a Zeepk anywhere near that. You might as well get an antique for $10-15 and practice on it. Eventually you'll be able to use it for shaving.

Thanked: 335Isaac,
You can always practice on your pocket knife. At least then, when all works out well, you'll have a really sharp knife at your disposal.
