Welcome, or should I say Hello!!

My name is Scott I found this wonderful website from another source (the Art of Shaveing A basic source by Christopher Moss) I found Christopher through BadgerandBlade.com, I found B&B while Googling my own name and barbershop. (The semi-famous Huckabee haircut and shave). There was a post from a member about an awful experience getting a shave at a barbershop. That unfortunately happened to be me.
About a year ago I started to get a few requests for face shaves. At the time I was using a Shaving cream that worked fine for neck shaves, but was lousy for face shaves. I have since ordered a hot latherizer and a hot towel warmer. I have been getting more and more requests for shaves and now I'm looking to improve my skills and knowledge of shaving. I'm looking forward to the journey and would gladly take any advice, knowledge, feedback etc......

Welcome aboard. I'll give you a few tips to make the shave better for the customer.
1) Start with washing the face to wash out any oils from the skin (oil and water don't mix)
2) Rub some cream into the stubble
3) Hot towel
4) More lather
5) Shave (2 passes in general)
6) Rinse off with warm water
7) Cold water
8) Aftershave
