Default TV Ad from my country showing a barber straight shaving (badly)

This is an ad from the biggest bank in my country that's being broadcasted in these days. It compares straight shaving with buying stocks / bonds from that bank. It tries to give you the impression that you can rely on the experience of the bank just like you would rely on the wisdom of an old barber.
Well, to be honest, I wouldn't like that barber to give me a straight shave! Just look how he shaves the guy, specially around the 15th - 20th second of the ad!
The bank has huge profits every year, they should have hired a better barber/actor!

    The ad

    I wouldn't want him shaving me either, I can't understand a
word he's saying . Just kidding, but I see what you
mean with some of those exagerrated swipes he takes
    with that straight.

Does he go horizontally shortly after shaving up the left side of the neck?

I bled a little just watching it.

Not only that, but the customer is chatting with the barber at the same time he shaves him near his mouth ! What an idiot!

Of course not! All the ads about shaving, specially Gilette's use non shaving razors. The guys are already well shaved beneath all that lather that will be wiped off.

He makes an upward stroke and readjusts the direction of the blade very quickly, which looks as though it could have caused a cut. But all in all, that barber does a better job at a fake shave than a lot of actors of past and present. He's holding the razor at more or less the correct angle and seems to have a decent grip. Pretty believeable if you can keep yourself from being too critical.

They might also be alluding to The Wealthy Barber, which is a book about money management, saving and investment, written in the 1980's.
