Thanked: 735Toughest spot to shave?
OK, so what is the most difficult spot to shave?

For me it's the adam's apple since all of the hair grows horizontally in one direction, so no matter what I do I'm shaving somewhat from the top of the adam's apple down the side.

I voted neck, but I really mean that area where my neck meets my lower jaw area and starts to go horizontal. Is that still my neck?

For me it's the neck, the hair grows in only two or three directions but meet in a zig-zag pattern that means I always am hitting something ATG (or at least obliquely ATG) on the 1st pass. [All of the mergers are in the curve area of the neck and make XTG impossible].

Thanked: 735For me it is the neck as well. The skin is too soft and the whiskers grow in odd directions, the valleys caused on either side of the trachea make manuevering difficult, etc, etc.

I have to say the neck also, change in hair growth and more changing contours.

Neck also. It all grows in one direction, east/west, ear to ear. While I can get an angle on most of it, ATG is just not possible (unless someone has a tip).

Thanked: 0Exactly. I think I only have one layer of skin on my neck --so easy to nick myself-- meanwhile the whisker direction is complicated and, yes, those valleys. How do you get in there? The left side of my neck is the toughest because the whiskers grow forwards (towards trachea) and yet the natural motion when shaving with left hand is toward ear, hence xtg. I want to find a video of an expert shaving his neck.

Thanked: 0The chin is tough but at least it's convex. Concave is much tougher for me.

Thanked: 40Adam's Apple hands down for me. My chin was causing problems till I maned up and learned to do ATG. Still use a bic for that spot.
