    Default Electric Trimmer

    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forums in terms of registering - I've been reading these for a while trying to decide what I should get. At first, I like the cool design and pretty colors of the kamisori straight razors, but I guess they're more suitable for open envelopes.

Anyways, I'm not currently looking for a straight razor, I will sometime later this summer, but for now, I wanted to get an electric trimmer for my beard, mustache, and goatee. I just need something to trim down the hair before I use a disposable to clean up.

If you guys use or used an electric trimmer, what brand was it, and how did you like it? I did buy two to try, but they were very cheap and terrible. One of them tugged at my hair, and cut only like 1 in 30 or 40 hairs, so I'd have to go over my face like 10 times to get anything noticeable. The other one didn't work at all.

Thanks guys, I tried searching the forums, but I didn't find anything conclusive.

I had a cheap bottom end Wahl beard and sideburn trimmer. It worked well enough, though was not fabulous. It's one of those kind of things that you replace rather than repairing.

I use a Norelco Reflex Plus. It gives a few razor bumps. The shave is decent; but it only lasts three hours on me.

I use a low-end Wahl, with a 3/8-1/2 inch standoff for my beard (depending on the season, etc). I always
lubricate it well with cooling/lubricant spray before I use it.
