Shipping to Canada
I bought a nice Le Grelot from Seraphim but the post office wouldn't let him ship it to me. Anybody else have had trouble shipping straights to Canada from the US?

Nope - I've bought most of my straights here off SRP from members in the U.S. I also participated in Heavydutysg's newbie honing experiment where I shipped my razors to the States, and he shipped them back...
An over zealous postal worker, perhaps? I see no reason to deny shipping the razor - there is no restrictions that I know of.

Did you write "straight razor" or "shaving goods" on the customs form?
Thanks!

I have received a few straights from the US with no issues. One listed it as 'straight razor' another 'razor'.

Seraphim send me this thread which clarified the situation regarding shipping razor: http://straightrazorpalace.com/gener...ht-razors.html
We just have to avoid "razor" in the description...

just write it in as "ANTIQUE SHAVING COLLECTABLE" that should avoid any problem.
