    Default Did we beat it????

    Hi everybody.

How did we do last night, did we bet the attendance record of 681 users online with all the trouble we had to get on SRP.

Does anyone have the list of the winners of the raffle??

The active user list still says, "Most users ever online was 681, 07-12-2007 at 09:51 PM."

    Default Just Wondering

I guess it must be regrouping time. Have yet to find the thread which lists the winners of last nite's event, much less the number of folks on the site. Questions I have are not answered on this Forum, in my mailbox or on the Yahoo Group message list. The instuctions for entering I found vague and ambigious and it looks as if a great many members (even those signed in) did not get registered for the 10PM raffle. Top this with the tech probs in watching the webcast, the slowness of the server and not knowing where to be at 9:50PM EST, was most frustrating and disappointing. I do not mean to be a whiner, complainer or cry baby, since the guy's who set this up spent a lot of time and effort doing so. I applaude them and send my sincere thanks for doing so, it was a great idea but what went wrong? Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the same?

SicBoater brought it to my attention that my post looked like I was yelling, not so, I just cannot see the small print, even with bifocals, as well as you younger guys. I do not yell, even at my wife when she needs to be yelled at, lol. Was sorry to hear about Dweezel's auto accident and hope he does not take my post as yelling at him, I was not. Hope he gets feeling better, I send my thanks for his efforts, best wishes and prayers for his recovery. Rick

I agree somewhat with this. It was a little unorganized, BUT the chat was tons of fun! There where 50+ people in it at one point. It would have probably been better if the Webcast happened as it has a built in chat function too. That way everyone would have known where to be and would have been able to communicate. Of course, we would have to have been able to get in there too. I know David is working on all of this though so if we are all a bit patient, we will have a great reward in the offing.

At one point something was said about a thousand people trying to get in. I was fortunate and got here early enough to get into chat, and agree with sicboater, it was tons of fun. Guigi won first prize. Kudos to DWessell for keeping things together as much as he did.

Let's not forget that the admin Dwessell, who was spearheading this whole thing announced yesterday in the other thread about the webcast and attempting to break the record:

"Hey guys.. Small hiccup on the webcast.. I'm putting the finishing touches on it.. But I was in a car wreck today, and am a tad sore.. I'm going to go and rest for a bit, and if I can get the rest of it done, I will.. Otherwise we'll do a webcast very shortly!"

If he was "a tad sore" from the accident on the day it happened, I'm sure he's not feeling much better the day after when most bumps and bruises tend to "blossom".........

Give the gents some time, it's not like they're getting paid to do this work.

    Regards

    Christian
