    Default Learning the hard way....

I purchased a brandnew razor, and thought it was sharp... I learned the hard way, that it wasnt. I made a second purchase on ebay and bought a used razor. A really beatiful one. This thing was sharpened by the seller - and it was sharp!

I picked it up at the postoffice, unrapped it and put it in my pocket.
When I got home I reached in my pocket to get my keys, and the razor had unfolded. Did I mention that this thing was sharp?
Well it was, and might I add, it was not the most clever of moves I have done.

My fingers are ok now though.

Here is video if me shoving the razor and my bandaged fingers - dont worry nothing groce and no blod.

Good thing is, that I learned how sharp a razor can be, and I have now honed my other razors to the same level.

I carry a razor many times in my pocket with out mishap. The only thing to rembember is, tails up you win , tail down razor wins.

Hi - I was the seller and I'm really sorry that you cut yourself like that: it must have been a nasty surprise for you! I've never carried one in my pocket before, but like Dicestone says, tails down the razor wins. Maybe someone could come up with a way of adding a small release - like the old flick-knives had - to keep the blade in place.

I'm glad there was no lasting damage.
    Sincerely,
    Neil.

    Hi Neil

    Please dont feel bad!

It was my own fault and no harm is done (permanently).

I will be sure to purchase razors from you some other time.

    Thx

Actually some of the old razors did have kind of a thumb release on the scales. I have a Torey with that.

I'll have to look out for that - sounds interesting, thanks.

    Regards,
