    Default Mastro Livi

I am currently living and working in Perugia the capital city of the region of Umbria in Italy. I am working at the restaurant L'Osteria del'Olmo for Chef Enea Barbanera. Yesterday I was fortunate enough to meet Maestro Livi at his shop in Perugia. He is an incredibly generous and gracious man, and it was an amazing experience to see all of his razors, knives and tools first hand.
At the end of our visit, I was shocked and incredibly grateful when Maestro Livi gave me a top quality autographed knife as a gift.
If anyone makes the journey to Perugia I encourage you to stop into Maestro Livi's shop and experience the hospitality

My wife and I drove down to Perugia from Modena in June to pick up a matched set of Livi regrinds with boxwood handles that I ordered for my birthday. Perugia is a beautiful medieval town with a lively student population. The combination of history, culture and nightlife makes it an ideal city to visit and adding a stop at the Mastro's workshop is just icing on the cake.

I can only agree with what has been said. Perugia and Umbria is very nice! I spent a week at a "Agriturismo" near Perugia in april and had a wonderful time! And the visit to Mastro Livi was and experience for life!

Welcome to SRP! That's awesome that you had the opportunity to visit Maestro Livi's shop. If it's not too much trouble, I'd really like to see a picture of the knife that he gave you.
