Thread: Time to strop?

So I know that I should strop before every shave, but I shave at night, so if I'm bored during the day and I know I'm gonna shave later, I'll just strop my razor right then, sometimes hours before I actually shave. It seems to work fine. Thoughts? Is there some benefit to stropping immediately before a shave as opposed to a little bit before?

There is another thread on this topic going the past day or so. The general consensus seems to be that stropping early and shaving later would be no problem. Whether it would be more effective immediately before the shave is possible but hard to measure.
