Thread: Greenies

I noticed that a spammer who I just reported started out with one post and one greenie. I, a senior member with more than one post, also have one greenie. I feel somehow comforted as I contemplate the great egalitarian gestalt.

It's a nasty thing... spammers registrate and get a greenie! I guess it's standad issue in this army. And you have to work hard to get another greenie, I guess. Therefore I do as I always did... nevermind the greenie!

The greenies only reflect the reputation you've recieved since their inception and don't reflect retroactively, i.e. they don't apply credit for the "thanks" you've recieved in the past and your previous post count. For every hundred reputation points you accumulate you are rewarded an extra "greenie", I believe.

But, yeah, I'll agree it's a shame having spammers start with the same reputation as you have! Just part of the system, though.

If you'd like to see how many "reputation points" you've accumulated, click the "User CP" button in the horizontal button row just under the Straight Razor Place logo. There's a section that shows your last five or so reputation points you've recieved, as well as your total point count.

Everyone starts with 10 points and 1 greenie BTW...

After 82 posts, the only thing missing from that thread was how to give reputation to people... I found out by accident a couple of days ago, do you remember Glen?
