Yeah, that sure is one handsome razor, David! The blade must have been made in Germany (Solingen), and shipped to France for Dorko to assemble. Notice how on a German blade are words which appear to be French! Am I mistaken in assuming the "Qualite Coiffeurs" means "Quality Hairstyles?" I looked up coiffeur in the dictionary and it said a "coiffeur" is a men's hairstylist (read: barber). I know that there are hair-shaping blades that look very much like straight-razors. Could this be one?

    David,

There is some interesting monolog in first person going on on the user manual behind the razor

Why yes there is. The middle paragraph is one of my favorite songs, LOL:

In the words of Tool Time's great sidekick, Al Borland, "I don't think so, Tim."

I don't speak French, but my read was "Barber's Quality" --- not unlike the old roll engravings. "For Barbers Use"

To each his own, but are there more than one of these to be owned by each? You say it is the nicest razor you've ever seen. Yes, it's a really nice look'n shaver. Do you own it Dave? Where do find these gems?

Tis indeed a pretty razor David. You raise an interesting point here in to each his own. I wonder what it is about a razor that peaks our members interests. The style and type of handle? The material? Width of Blade? Blade Etching or Shape? Particular manufacturer? Should this be another topic? Lynn

"So lather up, break out the wrappers, open me up and start scraping..."

Errr *scraping*? I wonder if that is the best choice of words for selling a superior shaver? lol... Hal

The printing is deceiving. You're supposed to follow the text under the Dorko trademark. It reads:

    "Qualité speciale pour coiffures"

which means, special quality for hairdressers.
