So I just got back from the post office, where I was told straight razors are not supposed to be shipped internationally. Whats up with that?
Just called them shaving supplies and they took it.

maybe the rule applies to shipping knives?
who knows.
Yup...that is true.....There was a post on here some where going back a bit that went into details. I've talk to the clerk at the post office and he said just that "call it shaving supplies"...The word "razor" or "straight shaver" is a no no in this times we live in. It's considered a "weapon"...lol.
Call them "shaving supplies" when shipping internationally; got it.:tu

Kinda sad that our security is predicated upon semantics.
great info thanks :D
I always check the country's customs regulations to see if a striaght razor will pass customs before I ship. So far I have never had a problem sending them properly labeled to countries that accept them.
I don't think there is any problem with sending anything out of Thailand. If it is not allowed the postal workers will just steal it. Both incoming and outgoing mail.
