The SBAD bites! Clearly you will not be satisfied with the $70 brush. Buy the better one! Whichever one that is.

Mike I have the 23mm Faux Ivory Shavemac...it is very nice and soft feeling on the skin. You will like it and unless you want to spend more money, you will be very happy with it.

+1 on the Coach. I picked up a vintage boar brush recently and was using it for a while. yesterday I switched back to a pure badger and it felt super soft. I have a shavemac silver tip which I know is even softer than the pure badger. If you are using a boar brush and go to a shavemac badger you will be very happy with anyone you buy.

I think I will go with the Shavemac, since she is buying it for me I dont want to complicate things. Im sure its going to be a hundred times better than what Im using and at least this way I can always work my way up to better brushes if necessary.
