    Default my new/old razor

I traded for a razor and know next to nothing about these things. After having a local barber hone and strop it I tried shaving with it. I strop with a nice piece of belt leather and have actually gotten a passable shave. Don't think that was too bad for a beginner.
I was wondering if anyone would have any information on the ol girl? It was in a box marked J.A. Henckels but the razor itself has no such markings. The shaft is marked DELITE on one side and the other side marked,

I could not find the Ilium Mfg Co. in a quick search, but what you probably have is an old Solingen made razor which the Ilium Mfg. Co. had made up for marketing purposes to give to customer's etc. This was a very common practice 50 years ago. Lynn
