You see that's why whatever you collect be it razors or something else you need a lot of them that way the wife can never keep track so you can use that line over and over.

However, what's better and more honest is for the two of you to have your own discretionary fund that way you can buy whatever you want as long as it comes from that fund without having to justify anything or hide boxes when the mail shows up or sneak things into the house.

You know, I just talked about this with my wife. She totally understands my disorders, and figures that as long as I'm not totally out of control, it's important to have the occasional indulgence. Occasional being every three weeks or so... ;) And as long as we're both employed, with decent pay, there's no reason not to. We still save more every month than I ever could have imagined...

She handles all the money anyway, so I couldn't hide my purchases if I wanted to...and I don't. Because, in the end, this IS just a hobby, while she is the reason I get up in the morning...

I was talking to a couple guys in chat last night about this... My SO asked me who I was emailing and I told her that I sold one of my razors.

She goes, "You have more than one?"

I didn't know what to say. I guess ignorance is bliss. I'll let it go on this way.

P.S. She lives in my house!

I don't have to hide as my wife trusts me. What an incredible thing! I would feel badly to betray her trust though so I also enjoy being honest with her :p

In return she gets to tell me I'm always right while rolling her eyes (compromise is okay in this regard as I am secure in my right-ness) and she gets to call one of the cars hers. hehehe

Occasionally, but it usually takes the form of:

Me: You got a package. What is it?
Her: Uhh...err...probably a DVD.
Me: A DVD?! What is it?
Her: *Some random movie*. It only cost 50 cents!
Me: And I'll bet shipping was $4...well, whatever.

Reverse the roles and make it a new tool or something, and there you have it :D

That sounds EXACTLY like the divorce of some of my friends....:D (although it was also happened with the money, the car, the children...)

By the way, I do not hide, just place them around so it looks like I always have the same stuff (thanks God she is not very tall and I have the top shelf for me...)
