I was married for a dozen years way back when. At the time handguns were my crave. I would sneak another S&W into the house and be sitting in the Lazy Boy fondling it. My wife would say,"Another gun ?" No I already had this one ..... you've seen it before !

I can just see her eyes rolling in disbelief. My wife doesnt care anymore, it doesnt help to say anything.

I've got a Robert Williams & a Dan Capshaw brush that she's yet to see. I sold shaving things to finance them, but she'll not be a happy girl if she see's them at the moment!

I do have a tendency to... over-emphasize the good deals and lucky finds, and be conspicuously quiet about the "expensive, but worth it to me" items I buy.

More of a sin by omission, than an outright lie. I'm sure my wife sees right through that.

BUT, as I frequently point out to her, if I sold my razors and stones, I would make money... never mind the fact that I have no intention to do so.

I do this as well. Oddly, my wife seems to be completely supportive of this endeavor. If fact, she has expressed an interest in learning how to hone!

We live together. We work together in isolation in a small lab. I guess it won't be too much of a stretch if we end up honing together!

    are you two secret agent?

that beard is a nice disguise !!!

    I rarely hide stuff
simple fact is that I buy and sell so much that she could never keep track of if it came in a lot, or by itself
she also has no way to gauge price on any items

I have made a video with approximate values of the better items, along with guns, knives, tool, and things like that.
Just in case I flop over dead tomorrow.

When I saw the title, I was thinking of something way more fun. How awesome would it me if someone you know, love, and trust took a bunch of your blades/hones and hid them all around your house. You could have an Easter Razor hunt, or just slowly rediscover them during your day to day.

Or you could waterboard them until they told you where to find them.
