Thanked: 2204I have run up against the same thing numerous times. I have been unable to create a "classified" because of it. I also cannot put an animated gif in my folder in the Gallery. Let the webmaster know.

Randy,
Maybe the Classifieds s/w doesn't support gifs -- the add new ad screen saysPlease JPG, JPEG or PNG only, up to 50KB !In general the pic you're uploading of an item for sale is the actual item and would normally be a jpeg, which is the file output format of most digital cameras. However, items wanted would, for me at least, include a picture I copied from the internet somewhere and would likely be either a gif or jpeg. I'm not sure why you'd need it animated, but bottom line, there's no logical reason why the s/w shouldn't support gif, animated or not. David (aka THQ) will have to figure this one out with the s/w source.
Thumbnail will be 40 x 30 pixels.
Superfly,
Are you having problems uploading an avatar or a classified? AFAIK, both have size limitations -- classifieds as mentioned above and avatars are
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KBwhich is spelled out in the custom avatar section of the Edit Avatar screen. BTW, when I extracted a few frames from the Buggs Bunny "Rabbit of Seville" cartoon to make my avatar, the 19.5KB limit allowed me to only have about 6 frames of action in my animated gif -- the clip I wanted to use was close to 200KB with 50+ frames, but I realize people on dial-up internet connections would have killed me if they had to wait for that to download everytime they displayed one of my posts
(whichever is smaller).

I am trying to upload animated .gif file of a scyting motion Randy requested. I thought it would be more clear if the picture is animated rather than explaining the motion with words and arrows. Anyways, Randy got the file via e-mail, and for the rest, it will be here when the anm .gif issue is resolved...

Uploading them to the galery, then linking them in the posts. At least that is how I put pics in the posts...I don't have web page to put them and link...
